PHILOSOPHY
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Alberta Regional Massage Therapy Association works to provide many resources and learning opportunities to help RMTs in Alberta.

 

ARMTA offers several different benefits including but not limited to:

​

  • Some of the best insurance coverage available to our members for professional liability insurance.

​

  • Commercial based liability coverage, meaning you are protected if a liability incident occurs on business grounds.

​

  • Contents based liability coverage, meaning you are protected if property damage occurs on business grounds.​

​

  • Lawyer based liability coverage, meaning you are protected if you need a lawyer for a criminal lawsuit.

​

  • Continuing education workshops, some of which are offered free of charge to members.

​

  • The ability to build networks and attend functions with fellow members across Alberta.

​

  • Be apart of a community that you can lean on and get support from.

FULL MEMBERSHIP
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
  • Must be a graduate of a massage therapy program recognized by the board of directors with a minimum of 2200 hours of education. 

  • Complete a proficiency assessment.

  • Be approved by a majority of the board of directors to be a full member.

  • Disclose to the board of directors any prior criminal conviction. 

  • Have certified First Aid and CPR

  • Must pay the membership fees required of a full member.

  • Honorary membership may be granted to any person at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

  • Cannot be a practicing RMT with another association.

  • Complete a questionnaire and interview. 

  • Disclose to the board of directors any prior criminal conviction. 

  • Must pay the membership fees required by an honorary member.
