While Alberta is actively working toward regulation for massage therapy, it is not yet a regulated industry like in British Columbia, Ontario, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick. This underscores the importance of associations like ours in certifying massage therapists and enforcing rigorous standards and ethical practices.

In addition to certifying massage therapists and enforcing ethical practices, our association also provides ongoing education and training opportunities for our members. Members are required to complete 10 Credit Hours per year (audit period: every 2 years). We believe that continuing education essential for maintaining the highest level of expertise and professionalism in the field of massage therapy. By staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and research our members are better equipped to provide the best possible care their clients.
